Who runs it
The Slovenia driving test is administered by the exam centres under the AVP (izpitni center). Book your test through your official exam centres under the AVP.
What the examiner is assessing
Wherever you test, examiners are watching the same fundamentals: all-round observation (especially at junctions), correct mirror use before any change of speed or direction, smooth steering and control, safe positioning and lane discipline, and appropriate speed for the conditions.
The most common reasons people fail
- Observation at junctions — not looking properly before emerging
- Mirrors — missing checks before signalling, slowing or turning
- Steering control and positioning
- Response to traffic lights and other road users
- Inappropriate speed — too fast or too hesitant
How to prepare
The single biggest predictor of passing is familiarity with the roads you'll be tested on. SteerClear generates practice routes around 16 Slovenia test centres and scores each drive live, so you arrive knowing the junctions, roundabouts and speed changes — free to focus on technique.
