Who runs it
The Poland driving test is administered by the regional road traffic centre (WORD). You first get a candidate driver profile number (PKK) from your district or city office, then book the theory and practical exams with your WORD, at the centre or online at info-car.pl. You take the practical exam in a WORD car.
What the examiner is assessing
Wherever you test, examiners are watching the same fundamentals: all-round observation (especially at junctions), correct mirror use before any change of speed or direction, smooth steering and control, safe positioning and lane discipline, and appropriate speed for the conditions.
The most common reasons people fail
- Observation at junctions — not looking properly before emerging
- Mirrors — missing checks before signalling, slowing or turning
- Steering control and positioning
- Response to traffic lights and other road users
- Inappropriate speed — too fast or too hesitant
How to prepare
The single biggest predictor of passing is familiarity with the roads you'll be tested on. SteerClear generates practice routes around 91 Poland test centres and scores each drive live, so you arrive knowing the junctions, roundabouts and speed changes — free to focus on technique. In Poland, learners drive on public roads only with a driving school, so drive these routes in your lessons: show your instructor a route in the app and drive it together. At home, preview the route and see where it catches people out.
